A Global Hedge Fund is hiring a UI Developer who has previously worked on strategic change. The position is a front end GUI focussed role, but experience/knowledge of back end services is required to design/develop and deploy new components using HTML, Advanceed JavaScript, CSS, internal frameworks and 3rd party tools.
Qualifications
- Strong JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- Python
- MVC design pattern
- Solid experience of AngularJS, Backbone.js, ExtJS or other JavaScript Frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Webapp frameworks: Flask, Django, Bottle, web.py
- Experience with google earth a plus
- Experience with Bokeh, matplotlib or similar data visualization packages strongly preferred
- HTML/CSS layout frameworks: Bootstrap, Foundation, UIKit, PureCSS, Skeleton a plus
- Exposure to COMET and web streaming technologies provided by third party vendors such as Lightstreamer desired
- Exposure to C#, WPF/XAML, Perl, SQL, scripting languages is a plus
- Financial industry experience is preferred
