Our client is looking for a Test Automation Software Developer to join their Chicago office. You will be required to will develop software and processes that perform automated functional, integration, and scalability testing on the trading and order processing applications and systems. This will include development of integration testing that spans multiple applications and back-end processes including user interface workflow and back-end services. You must demonstrate the ability to understand complex trading and order processing workflows and develop robust, automated solutions to identify software defects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, maintainable systems for performing automated functionality and scalability testing
- Use platforms, tools, and techniques to ensure that testing processes are robust, maintainable, reusable, and expandable
- Participate in ongoing design and architecture of trading applications to ensure they are designed in a manner that facilitates automated testing
- Work with the E*Trading team to understand the trading technologies and identify the use cases, workflows, and integration points that will most benefit from automated testing
Work Experience:
- Enthusiastic attitude and collaborative approach
- 4+ years experience developing test automation software
- Experience developing automated GUI workflow testing of in-house developed software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing automated testing software for service oriented processes is desirable
- Experience developing automated testing software for C++, C# or .NET GUIs is desirable
- Experience working in a trading environment would be desirable
- Experience with real-time, high throughput, low latency systems would be desirable
- Scripting experience would be nice to have
- Basic SQL abilities (e.g. query, insert, update) would be nice to have
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent preferred
