Our client is searching for an experienced Technology Manger to work in their California office. The mission of the Program Management Office is to create value by providing leading class project execution, high quality IT decision making support, and project delivery risk management. The ideal candidate will be expected to support the management of Portfolio Management Solutions and Firm Wide Position & Risk Reporting business and technology area's portfolio of initiatives and facilitate the ongoing prioritization of work to ensure technology and business are in alignment on deliveries of work
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the firm’s cross-team, firm-wide, strategic, or high risk projects with a structured project management process
- Create transparency and measurability for the company’s IT vision and platform
- Improve business alignments on the priorities of IT deliveries
- Align development process with project size and business users
- Enable team collaboration and IT knowledge sharing
- Establish an understanding of the Portfolio Management Solutions and Firm Wide Position & Risk Reporting business and technology area including the underlying technologies, improvement goals and challenges, and initiatives portfolio
- Collaborate with the technology management of Portfolio Management Solutions and Firm Wide Position & Risk Reporting to establish a rightsized engagement model with the business to establish the appropriate governance model with clear roles and responsibilities, approval process, resource allocation transparency and escalation points
- Assist, coordinate, manage and/or lead project team(s) to successful execution of the program using PMO's established project management process
- Champion agile development methodology and frameworks
- Contribute and share knowledge and practices on project management and SDLC principle and standards
Requirements
- 12+ Professional working experience
- 7+ Project management experience
- 5+ years relevant work experience in Asset Management operations and/or technology environment
- Agile Scrum Master Certification required
- Mastery of PPM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong program management skillset with experience in managing concurrent multiple technology projects
- Extensive experience in financial services, specifically in Asset Management
- Proven ability to influence business and technology leaders in an objective manner
- Demonstrate ability to lead with focus on continuous improvements and change management activities
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communications with proven ability to gain trust from teams and stakeholders while establishing and maintaining strong relationships
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Actively inquisitive - listen and ask questions to determine and meet stakeholders and development team needs
- Go beyond normal job responsibilities to ensure commitments are kept and delivered in a timely manner to stakeholders
- Focus on specific goals, and demonstrate a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
