A global Hedge Fund is hiring a Python or JavaScript software engineer to implement basic wireframe designs in HTML5 and JavaScript. You will also work on general input/output services using Node JS.
Later this year you will be expected to lead the research on the implementation of a rules based workflow engine.
In addition to the engine work itself, you would need to design and implement workflow metrics and services to design and implement an API to send events to updates workflow status and provide summarized metrics on workflow execution.
Additionally you will summarize data sets to be presented into a dashboard to an operations manager so that work load can be monitored and hot spots can be understood. The metrics should also give an indication of the amount of work that was done to complete the workflow.
You will be part of the team that designs a predictive workflow engine that advises on workflow optimizations and increases in work assignment so work can be accomplish by a certain date. A predictive cost recovery model will be designed to determine the cost to maintain the system for a respective customer.
You should have the ability to design a representation to display the rules that were executed graphically using HTML 5 canvas or extending D3.js. You should also have a good idea of caching strategies for rule execution.
