Our client is searching for a Software Engineer to build market data and order entry gateways for the core trading systems, with an initial focus on FX venues. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain fault-tolerant, low-latency, distributed software using C++.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on design, development, and testing of trading system applications
- Testing at the unit, functional, and integration level
- Optimize performance of new and existing code
- Work with software engineers responsible for core systems to extend functionality for new venue nuances
- Working on legacy code as well as green field development
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience developing in C++
- 2 years developing software in the trading industry
- Recent experience, preferable within the last 12 months, implementing gateways for FX venues (Currenex, Hotspot, EBS, reuters FX)
- Detailed knowledge of venue specific architectures
