Our client a global investment management firm is searching for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join their New York office. You will be expected to work on a number of high-profile data projects that will require you to interface with key stakeholders and develop the data to support a variety of business intelligence reports and applications. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Informatica, demonstrating expertise in Oracle, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners, analysts, developers and customers to creatively solve complex business problems, which will include creating key performance indicators and metrics, enhancing analytics and reporting capabilities, etc.
- Develop scalable, reusable ETL jobs utilizing the Informatica toolset ensuring data integrity and proper data transformations, integrating data from various sources to load data into the target data structures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Informatica, demonstrating expertise in Oracle, ETL, and Data Warehousing
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience
- 4+ yrs demonstrated knowledge in writing, understanding and tuning PL/SQL and/or T-SQL
- 4+ yrs familiarity of relational database and programming language concepts
- 4+ yrs highly skilled in OOP design and development, preferably in Python
- Highly skilled in designing and implementing ETL frameworks, preferably using Informatica
- Experience with data modeling, drawing diagrams under UML standard (Microsoft Visio)
- Experience building ETL frameworks using DTS / SSIS
- Experience with *nix environments, including shell script development
- Experience building highly scalable UI applications using HTML5 and React/Angular
- Domain knowledge of Financial Services
