Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Research Analysts in the empirical valuation and forecasting of securities to aid in the ongoing portfolio research process.
- Support ongoing evaluation of financial information from financial data providers and other sources that lead to superior investment research strategies
- Work with the investment teams to architect, design and develop scalable server applications that improve and optimize their current workflows
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a leading academic institution in computer science or a similar quantitative field
- 4+ years’ experience in developing multi-tiered applications in C++ and Java
- 3+ years’ experience in developing web server applications and web services with Java or another language
- 4+ years’ experience in working with any database server. Strong database design and SQL skills
- Knowledge of JBoss application server, J2EE, Javascript is a plus
- Cloud computing, Big data experience (Spark, Scala, Hadoop) is a plus
- Willingness to learn, adopt and bring in innovation to solve problems
- Strong communication skills
