Our client, a global Multi Strategy Hedge Fund seeks top self-starting undergraduate and masters students to develop careers in their automated quantitative trading businesses.
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Quantitative Algorithmic developers implement and optimise automated quant trading strategies using statistical techniques and cutting edge technology, working closely with the algo development teams to perform functions, including:
- Collaborate with research teams designing and implementing new trading strategies.
- Design and optimise tools for strategy back-testing.
- Perform post-trade analysis.
- Generalise trading innovations to new asset classes and global venues.
- Their training programme provides significant responsibility and creative freedom approach. You are set to succeed with projects matched against individual skills sets with manager’s close mentoring ensuring tailored learning and career longevity.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Advanced training in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other quantitative fields
- Extensive programming experience with strong Object Oriented design skills in C, C++, or Java
- Experience with algorithms and data structures.
- Strong knowledge of probability and statistics (e.g. machine learning, time series analysis, pattern recognition, NLP )
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear concise fashion.
- Ability to thrive in a complex, fast paced, and highly technical environment.
Useful:
- Analysis, manipulation, and maintenance of large datasets (e.g. R, Matlab)
- Independent research experience
- Basic knowledge of tradeable financial instruments (securities, derivatives) and capital markets.
