Our client is seeking a Project Manger who will be responsible for managing all development projects, from inception to deployment for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Build ongoing relationships with trading desks and technology groups; meet regularly to define and prioritize technology needs
- Create detailed work plan to support business group needs
- Coordinate resources and establish work plans and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Communicate estimates, costs, timelines, risks and changes to relevant business groups and leadership
- Drive the schedule for technology projects to ensure roadblocks to completion are removed, and all projects are delivered in a timely manner
- Hold resources and stakeholders accountable to meet deadlines and complete tasks according to the work plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive experience managing C++ and .NET development projects
- Expert knowledge of electronic trading, and electronic trading technologies
- Expert knowledge of Excel VBA, or another Project Management Software tool such as MS Project
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and people skills
- Demonstrated successful leadership ability
- Ability to work both independently and with multiple groups at all levels of the firm
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to see the “big picture” and foresee impediments to project completion
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable communicating to employees at all levels within the firm, as well as external vendors
- Ability to identify and solve issues in a timely manner
