Our client is a leading high frequency trading firm with offices in NYC, London and Singapore. The role will involve working within the Data Center & Telecommunication division which is part of the Core Engineering department, where you will be  responsible for delivering and maintaining all of global data center and network solutions. The DC/Telco Product Manager is responsible for maintaining a cohesive picture of customer engagement, product requirements, ongoing projects, product cost, and appropriate measures of product quality.  

The Product Manager manages the entire lifecycle of products from initial concept through delivery and ultimately replacement with successor products.  The Product Manager is also responsible for maintaining a business view of products and ensures that all appropriate artifacts are available to make informed decisions that integrate customer needs, competitor intelligence, technical considerations and financial factors.  

The Product Manager maintains this “big picture” view in high quality, clear and concise form, and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.  Equally important, the Product Manager maintains detailed specifications for current Product capabilities and requested enhancements that are thoroughly analyzed and “developer ready” for implementation. 

Responsibilities 

• Communicating with customers for requirement gathering and status updates 
• Working with Team Managers to determine datacenter growth strategy 
• Taking ownership of road mapping, with contributions from Technical Lead 
• Calculating, tracking, and reporting on Product Value Metrics 
• Measuring product usage, driving adoption, and ultimately driving retirement 
• Condensing business prioritization inputs and performing continuous prioritization 
• Managing product cost and cost recovery methodology 
• Understanding product interdependencies within and outside the division 
• Gathering and tracking market intelligence and future requirements 

Qualifications 

• 2-5 years of experience as a Product Manager for technical products (finance industry preferred) 
• Experience planning and deploying data center infrastructure 
• Prior experience with trading colocation and Infrastructure is a plus 
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to drive vision and influence cross-functional teams
