Our client is looking for a Macro Portfolio Manager to join their newly formed Multi-Asset Class Strategies (MACS) team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a team oriented individual that is very passionate and knowledgeable about capital markets and appreciates a research-based systematic investment process. The Macro PM will help evaluate multi-asset portfolios in the context of the current macro and market environment and suggest appropriate actions if necessary. You would also be expected to research long-term macroeconomic trends that affect current markets.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate multi-asset portfolio positioning in the context of current macro and market environment
- Perform thematic research using large sophisticated datasets
- Contribute to team oriented investment decision process
- Suggest improvements to MACS models and investment process
- Closely follow macro and micro trends across all markets and geographies
- Understand all aspects of the company’s MACS systematic quantitative framework
- Present portfolio positioning in the context of current environment
- Present all aspects of MACS investment process to sophisticated clients
Requirements:
- 10+ years of macro multi-asset investment experience
- Deep familiarity with systematic multi-asset investing
- Strong knowledge of and passion for markets and macroeconomics
- Track record of producing high quality thematic macroeconomic research
- Experience with designing and managing portfolios in a team setting
- Experience presenting to sophisticated clients
- World-class analytic skills and the ability to clearly articulate the approach, process and results
- Creativity, enthusiasm, collegiality and the ability to excel in a self-starting environment
- Drive and humility to deliver on high value projects and roll up your sleeves attitude
- Some travel required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record; Master’s or PhD degree strongly preferred
