My client is a high frequency electronic trading firm with a position in the trading team for a software engineer.
The role will involve working on the backend system including the order management and the exchange connectivity as well as the business logic for quoting equity options. The role will interacting with quantitative researchers and traders in order to take prototypes into production on the trading platform.
Requires:
· A strong mathematical and algorithmic background.
· 5+ years’ experience developing real-time software in Java.
· Experience tuning code for speed.
· Solid understanding of object oriented design.
· A good understanding of socket programing, memory management and building systems with a competitive speed advantage.
