Our client is searching for a Junior Java Developer to work in their London office. The successful candidate will be working closely with client facing teams, ESG research analysts, portfolio managers and traders. Ideally you will have have investment experience or ESG experience a plus.
Some components of the ESG platform will be:
- Big Data: scrape websites, analyse documents and nourish an ESG data lake
- Artificial Intelligence: employ Expert System, Machine Learning techniques to detect trends and establish opinions
- Business Intelligence: build data warehouses and BI dashboards
- Trading Workflow: plug ESG into the company’s trade room mechanics
Your Responsibilities
- Design, write and test code
- Develop your software platform
- Contribute to design sessions, client discussions, and product innovation
Your Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience coding and supporting complex software systems
- Java on UNIX
- SOA and multi-tier design, REST and Web Services
- High level of education in math
- Energetic, analytical, detail oriented, self-starter, hard worker
- Emotionally mature, able to thrive in a fast paced, often changing environment
- Oracle 11/12 (or other SQL), MongoDB a plus
- HTML5, Angular 2 a plus
- Statistics and numerical analysis a plus
