Our client is a leading liquidity provider and looking for a high-caliber financial systems developer to join the development team in Dublin. You’ll be creating powerful trading tools to facilitate all stages of the high-performance system. As the responsibilities include building tools which are critical to all trading operations, finance processes, compliance and risk management of each and every trade processed, this role demands a very motivated developer with a strong grasp of programming, a flair for correctness and a high level of efficiency. 

 Preference for out-of-industry candidates. 

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyse functional requirements to enhance existing systems 
• Develop new software applications used in financial and pre/post trading platforms 
• Managing development, implementation and testing of new features for complex software applications
• Monitoring day-to-day operation of the production systems
• Performing proactive and reactive system maintenance

Prerequisites:

• Approximately 2 years’ experience in a development role where Java or C++ is used (though a talented graduate would be encouraged to apply). 
• Experience with SQL, Python
• Interest in trading and financial markets
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills 
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Desired: 

• Experience in web technologies 
• Experience in distributed and/or highly concurrent systems.
• Experience in low-latency systems and/or high transaction environments
