Our client is a world leading High Frequency Trading firm, using cutting edge technology to lead the field. They have opportunities across Chicago, New York, London, Dublin, Amsterdam and Sydney. This FPGA Engineer role involves working in a highly latency-sensitive environment – the faster the better. You will be working in a small team that takes responsibility to solve problems and implement the solutions. Currently, the technology stack involves a blend of Verilog/VHDL, C++ and scripting languages (primarily Python). Everything that can be automated, is automated. Understanding network protocols and network infrastructure will also be useful.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience working with FPGAs and hardware development tools
• Experience in Verilog/VHDL, C++, and Python and/or other scripting languages
• Ability to work in a Linux environment
• Experience with network and system level protocols, packet based data processing, and computer architecture
• Familiarity with financial services industry a plus
