NJF  is currently recruiting for Wall Street’s leading - a quantitative asset management firm, who are looking to hire versatile business-focused Operations Development Software Engineer to partner with their business operations teams in New York.

The Operations Development (DevOps) Engineering Team is responsible for the design and integration of their front-to-back-office infrastructure while delivering operational efficiencies and controls for their business.  Building a robust operational platform enables them to capitalize on new business opportunities and allows their business to scale as they grow.

As an DevOps engineer, you’ll work across all areas of the firm, from business operations, to research and other technology teams, to tackle a diverse set of business problems and streamline processes through automation and intelligent use of technologies.  You will have the opportunity to make tangible impact to the business while gaining domain expertise in a world class hedge fund operation. 

Responsibilities:

• Automate pre and post trade processes to shorten trading life cycle
• Develop surveillance and analytical tools for their trading and technology environment
• Design and maintain databases to manage large sets of portfolio, trade and accounting data
• Systematize a myriad of regulatory filings and client reporting
• Explore, integrate and support open-source or third-party products to complement their in house developed systems 

Requirements:

• Programming skills in one or more of Python, Perl, Java, C++, C, or C#
• Keen interest in financial markets, trade processing, data management, trade monitoring and/or surveillance
• Tenacious with a strong sense of urgency to execute in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with trade processing and data management systems, including:
• Trade lifecycle across executing broker, prime broker and other counterparties
• Booking and operations systems
• Corporate actions
• Stock loan systems
• Trading cost analysis
• Advent Geneva experience
• Experience within the financial services industry
