Our client is searching for a talented Compliance Analyst to join their London office. The successful candidate will be joining the global compliance team and you will be working with the compliance officer for the European region. This is a fast paced and dynamic environment and they are ideally looking for someone who is energized by this culture. You will ideally have strong knowledge of financial markets, commitment and dedication to the team and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance, communication and trade execution reviews
- Manage daily transaction reporting to the FCA including investigation / correction of errors and reconciliation of front office records against FCA reports.
- Support trading desks in preparing for new trading venue activity by ensuring the Firm meets the relevant regulatory and/or trading venue requirements.
- Review ongoing trading activity against the relevant regulations including MiFID II, MiFIR and EMIR.
- Contribute to regular major Compliance processes such as ICAAPs, Algorithmic trading annual reviews and Financial Crime risk assessments.
- Undertake due diligence on new trading counterparties
- Analysis of regulatory texts and guidance.
- Researching and liaising with legal and compliance teams regarding the legal and regulatory impact of rule proposals and final rules and regulations
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of previous financial markets compliance experience in a similar role required, preferably with an exchange member firm, exchange and/or regulator
- Knowledge and experience with European regulatory requirements, including MiFID II
- Experience with market abuse monitoring tools
- Strong business acumen and analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively and meet goals both as part of a team and independently
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
