Our client is seeking a C++ Trading Systems Developer to join their Sydney office. You will be required to work in concert with trading desks, risk and IT Ops to deliver the above to their requirements in a manner that’s efficiently operated and monitored.
You will also be expected to build and deploy trading systems in a production environment, as well as work with the IT Ops team on trading system documentation, diagnosis of production incidents and their resolution.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, test, document and roll out trading infrastructure solutions for the company. These include, but are not limited to:
- Low-latency market access software libraries in C++.
- Execution gateways.
- Market access and execution monitoring solutions.
- Strategy containers.
- Operational tooling to support the above
Suggested Skills/Experience:
- Deep knowledge of C++, STL and Boost
- Good understanding of data structures, their implementation and time complexity
- Experience with Linux systems calls for I/O, networking and process management
- Experience in an agile development environment.
- Experience with market data and order entry protocol implementations in a low-latency environment
- Familiarity with trading systems and markets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in the derivatives or equities trading industry
- Experience building systems that connect to and/or trade on derivatives or equity exchanges would be a bonus
- Experience building execution platforms would be a bonus
- Experience integrating front and back office trading systems would be a bonus
- Python programming skills would be a bonus
Education
- B.Sc. Computer Science or another engineering discipline
- 5+ years in C++ software development on Linux
