They do this by predicting short term fluctuations in the stock price of companies listed on US exchanges, using factors such as momentum, mean reversion, intraday trend, news, sentiment, pairs, and fundamental data. Their core predictive strategies trade in a statistical arbitrage framework, autonomously extracting profit from inefficiencies and that are predicted by the models, while a sophisticated optimization engine hedges risk and rebalances the portfolio based on the changing market structure.
Most of the team come from academic backgrounds having excelled in disciplines such as applied mathematics, probability, statistics, machine learning, physics and computer science, with common denominators being academic excellence and a shared collegial spirit. The research scientists and software engineers work with a shared technological environment, which enables ideas and knowledge to be disseminated internally.
We are looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join the research team. The role will involve re-writing and optimizing trading algorithms to improve functionality and performance. Key project will focus on coding trading algorithms, strategy containers and tools used by research. A large part of the role will involve refactoring code to improve performance and solving bottleneck problems around the use of data structures and algorithms.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C++14/17, identify as an Algorithmist, likely a competitive programmer Knowledge of Python is also useful but not essential. We are targeting a candidate with between 3-6 years of industry experience, preferably from a systematic hedge-fund or quantitative trading company. A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously with limited guidance as well as within an interdisciplinary team
