A leading Hedge Fund is looking for a C# .NET 4.5 framework Software Engineer with PRISM experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will develop best in class desktop trading applications in C#, .NET object oriented analyis/design and programming with a focus on developing reusable high performance trading clients.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the design, development and deployment of new and existing trading applications.
- Responsible for proposing new designs and modifying existing ones to continuously improve performance, functionality, and stability of the system.
- Responsible for guiding and implementing team, firm, and industry architectural standards.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with trading desk, level 1 support, and peer technology teams.
- Provide day-to-day level 2 application support for multiple trading applications and infrastructure globally.
- Work with high volume and low latency data needs to provide Traders and Portfolio Managers real time view of Orders and Execution status
Qualifications :
Mandatory:
- Enthusiasm for programming and solid computer science fundamentals
- 3-5 years experience in a professional software development role
- 3-5 years experience with C#3.0 and .NET framework 4.5
- Experience with PRISM framework
- Solid understanding of the Windows API and UI subsystems
- Basic skills with enterprise infrastructure, to include SQL and scripting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience with WPF technology
- Experience building GUIs
- Knowledge of financial products (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc…)
- Experience with real-time systems
