Our client is searching for an experienced C++ Developer to work in their Chicago office.
The ideal candidate is expected to provide technical expertise to support, enhance and refresh the front office trade capture systems and infrastructure.
The role will be primarily to anlyze, design, develop, support production and trouble shoot problems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop robust and flexible software solutions in C++
- Responsible for the design, development and deployment of new and existing infrastructure components pertaining to trade capture
- Provide day-to-day application support for multiple trading applications and infrastructure globally
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with trading desk, level 1 support and peer technology teams
Mandatory:
- 2-5 years experience in C++
- Enthusiasm for programming and solid computer science fundamentals
- Expertise in multi-threading
- Working knowledge of databases, SQL and scripting language
- Have 2-5 years experience in supporting real time trading systems
- Experience working with business users
Desirable:
- Experience working with enterprise messaging (eg. Tibco, MQ, etc)
- Knowledge of financial products (Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
