Our client is searching for an outstanding Analytics Developer to work in their London office. The successful candidate will over time take ownership of SII Infrastructure, including Proteus user interface enhancements. You will be the go to person when support is needed for the locally developed SII/B3 optimization tools or adhoc code changes are needed. Ideally C# and C++ experience a plus.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with work around optimizing MATLAB code developed by Client Analytics UK such as Target NAV and PANTHERS. Assist with integration options as needed.
  • Represent PIRANHA Team locally – this includes support for SCR, CMA, DC, Risk Analysis/Optimization.
  • Over time take over on-going FIG report development and serve as liaison to FES.
  • Provide general MATLAB, and SQL support. 
  • Longer term assist with PYTHON transition/new efforts.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other Quantitative Discipline. A higher degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Exposure to finance (degree/CFA/work experience) risk modeling, asset allocation, portfolio construction, SCR. 5+ years of experience in financial services company a plus.  
  • Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must be detail-oriented. 
  • Strong analytical ability to learn independently from the code / reverse engineer. 
  • Proactive about recognizing potential improvements or impending problems.
  • Intermediate SQL/Database Query experience required. 
  • MATLAB experience required, advanced MATLAB experience preferred. 
  • Java experience a plus.
  • PYTHON/SAS/R experience a plus.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point)
