Our client, a global investment management firm is looking for an experienced AI developer to work in their California office. The successful candidate will join a small team that builds tactical and strategic technology solutions that advance the ability to manage portfolios, trade effectively and take advantage of market opportunities. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers and others to identify, test out, and implement ideas where AI techniques can improve the performance of the company.

Experience: 

• Python & SQL are must.
• Proficiency in AI techniques: Expert Systems, Genetic Algos, Reinforcement. 
• Java (Spring, Hibernate) a plus.
• R, SAS, big data technology a plus

Requirements:

• MS Computer Science or Engineering with focus on AI from a school with a well-regarded AI program.
• Some practical working experiences involving AI, in any industry, a plus.
• High level stats, probability & linear algebra a must.
• Finance basics a plus but not required; markets, esp. Fixed Income and Derivatives a strong plus.
