Our client is searching for a Junior Java Developer to work in their London office. The ideal candidate will be working closely with client facing teams, ESG research analysts, portfolio managers, traders, and of course, tech colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write and test code
- Develop your software platform
- Contribute to design sessions, client discussions, and product innovation
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience coding and supporting complex software systems
- Java on UNIX
- SOA and multi-tier design, REST and Web Services
- High level of education in math
- Energetic, analytical, detail oriented, self-starter, hard worker
- Emotionally mature, able to thrive in a fast paced, often changing environment
- Oracle 11/12 (or other SQL), MongoDB a plus
- HTML5, Angular 2 a plus
- Investment, financial or ESG experience a plus
- Statistics and numerical analysis a plus
Education
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Higher degree a plus
- Certifications in Java, SOA, AI, BI a plus
