Our client is seeking an experienced developer to work in their New York office. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of software development skills, data analysis and data mining skills, and some knowledge of statistics. In addition to strong technical skills, prior experience with market data such as TAQ will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of reusable algorithms to handle large data sets
- Data analytics (historical and real time) and reporting tools
- Data filtration /cleaning and management
Requirements:
- KX: KDB+ and Q
- Experience with C#/.NET is strongly preferred
- Scripting experience (Perl, Python and/or Bash) is preferred
- Understanding of SQL is preferred
- Experience with C++ and/or Java is a plus
Working knowledge of Linux, MS Windows operating systems is required
- Experience with C++ and/or Java is a plus
Education
- B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science preferred along with at least 1 year of related work experience
