Our client is the world’s premier securities dealer. Software Engineers are responsible for designing, building and optimizing the electronic trading platform. Engineers will work closely with researchers, simulation and live traders to perform various functions, including the development of the core-trading infrastructure, designing low-latency, high-throughput trading systems and working with the research team to identify and optimize critical bottlenecks in research and production trading.
Responsibilities:
- Engineers work on projects from inception through to deployment, and are expected to take real ownership of the assets they are building.
- Demonstrate an ability to analyze complex business/technical problems and make sound technical decisions and take their solution from initial coding through to production deployment.
- Develop high performance applications utilizing C# language and object oriented design.
- Work as part of an established, experienced development team to build best in class technology platforms integrated with r/t trading paradigms.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with business users and peer technology teams.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in C#.
- A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design fundamentals.
- A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle paradigms including testing and deployment phases.
- Experience with scripting languages Python, Perl, Shell Scripting.
- Experience with UNIX.
- Professional experience designing and building real time desktop applications capable of handling large volumes of streaming data.
- Experience developing Winforms applications.
- Experience building trading applications.
- A passion for developing innovative GUIs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills applicable to a dynamic trading environment.
Education:
- A BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related Computer Engineering or Science curriculum
