Our client, a rapidly growing trading firm with global office locations is seeking highly talented C++ Software Engineers and Quant Developers to join their London office as they establish and grow their European business. The successful candidates will join an innovative and a highly collaborative team, working with cutting-edge low-latency systems. They will possess a passion for problem-solving and a curiosity for technology, and will be working alongside a small group of experienced like-minded technologists and traders. The role will include designing and implementing new strategy frameworks; contributing to the firm’s next-generation trading architecture; and building low-latency connectivity for European venues.
Required Skills:
- Very strong C++ development skills (preferably C++11/14), and able to demonstrate a solid understanding of robust OO design principles and computer science concepts,
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail,
- Experience building low-latency and/or high-performance computing systems,
- Experience with test driven development or similar iterative development methodology,
- Knowledge of scripting (eg. Python) and statistical languages (eg. R or numpy),
- A self-starter who is comfortable joining a small, fast-paced office,
- Good communicator, able to build effective forms of communication and collaboration with colleagues in London and remote offices,
- Someone who wants exposure to the business as well as technology.
Skills:
- Knowledge of trading systems and strategies, exchange protocols, or other fintech,
- Good analytic and/or statistical skills, including working with large/noisy datasets,
- Some experience of providing technical leadership.
Education:
- Holds a BA degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or similar discipline
